Chemical additives for coal water slurry actually include dispersants, stabilizers, defoamers and corrosion inhibitors, but generally refer to dispersants and stabilizers. Sodium lignosulfonate is one of the additives for coal water slurry.
The application advantages of sodium lignosulfonate in coal water slurry additives are as follows:
1. Sodium lignosulphonate has better dispersion effect than magnesium lignosulphonate and lignamine, and the prepared coal water slurry has better fluidity. The dosage of lignin in the coal water slurry is between 1% – 1.5% (according to the total weight of coal water slurry), so that the coal water slurry with a concentration of 65% can be prepared, reaching the standard of high concentration coal water slurry.
2. Sodium lignosulfonate can reach 50% of the dispersant capacity of naphthalene system, so the naphthalene system needs 0.5%. Considering the price, it is more cost-effective to use sodium lignosulfonate as the dispersant of coal water slurry.
3. The advantage of coal water slurry made by dispersant is that it has good stability and will not produce hard precipitation in 3 days, but the coal water slurry made by naphthalene dispersant will produce hard precipitation in 3 days.
4. Sodium lignosulfonate dispersant can also be used in combination with naphthalene or aliphatic dispersant. The appropriate ratio of lignin to naphthalene dispersant is 4:1, and the appropriate ratio of lignin to aliphatic dispersant is 3:1. The specific amount of use will be determined according to the specific coal type and time requirements.
5. The dispersion effect of lignin dispersant is related to the quality of coal. The higher the degree of coal metamorphism, the higher the heat of coal, the better the dispersion effect. The lower the calorific value of coal, the more mud, humic acid and other impurities, the worse the dispersion effect.
